Alliance Coach Sales and Service Campsite Near Depp

2/16/15 Monday in Wildwood, FL (Three Flags RV Resort-TT/MA)

Our appointment was for 9 am, but we actually pulled into the lot by 8:30 am. We went into the office to let them know we were there and they contacted Lori. She saw us right away, listened to our list of repairs and assured us it wouldn’t take long, that we didn’t need to worry about finishing before the weekend. She was pretty certain the tech for our rig would be ready by 10 am and she’d let us know when they would be wanting to get our coach. She assigned us a campground site next to Depp’s rig. These are actually Johnny Depp’s father and stepmother. Wow.  They’ve left the rig to fly to Johnny Depp’s wedding on his private Bahamas island.

We took this opportunity to drive to Camping World to return the shoe holder (wouldn’t work with the thin wood we could attach it to) and got a shower on/off switch (a back up for if/when our shower’s switch fails to work). We also stopped at Lowe’s and Home Depot trying to find an LED light for our dining lights. No luck.

Back at Alliance we had a light lunch, then settled in for naps and reading. I was grateful because I’m trying to get over a sore throat/achy body. Around 4 pm we figured it must be quitting time so we went to the office. Lori explained that Ed (our tech) had much more troubles than he’d figured, so he was just finishing up. He’d get our rig at 7 am tomorrow morning.

We enjoyed another really simple supper of leftover chili.

About Patricia Elser

I've always loved the loose, flowing, transparent look of watercolors, of Chinese paintings and their calligraphy, but alas, no watercolor classes were available when I was in school, so that interest remained buried until my children were grown. Even then, I was afraid that I couldn't really paint, so upon my sister's advice, I actually started to take classes. I signed up for every class available, determined to learn no matter how afraid I was. I came upon a teacher, Stan Miller, who inspired me, who opened the door to success in watercolor. I love to look at beautiful images. I want to capture them forever. All my life, photography was how I gathered images of the beauty I saw. Thanks to all that photography, I enjoy composing pictures, especially up close. Watercolors allow me to add more of me in their translation of that beauty. My paintings reflect my love for music and dance, with their rhythm and flow. I am fascinated by the play of light, so it appears in my pictures as drama for they are filled with darks and lights. Maybe it's the challenge, maybe it's the beauty, but now, when a work comes together, it fills my soul.
